What Is HydroBlox?

The short version: HydroBlox moves water from where you do not want the water to where you do want the water.

What Is HydroBlox Made Of?

HydroBlox is an advanced material manufactured from 100% recycled thermoplastics.

An exceptionally porous, high strength plastic that can filter and direct the flow of water, using surface tension unique to the product.

Maximize Efficiency with the HydroBlox Stormwater Box

The optional HydroBlox Stormwater Box allows water to be stored underground, then slowly release back into the earth as the ground dries.

Use Below-Grade

By installing HydroBlox at the base of the over-dig, you can eliminate the need for trenching.

Strategically place the HydroBlox boards to allow the product to remove excess ground water to daylight where it can safely seep back into the ground.

OR Use Above-Grade!

Simply trench out a few feet from your construction area and submerge HydroBlox.

They will draw groundwater out of the saturated earth, into the daylight and away from your site.

No Slope Required!

HydroBlox planks are installed in a wet area and continued on to a dry area. The water moves from plank to plank by water pressure. As one plank fills up with water, it is pushed to the next plank by water pressure.

This allows you to install HydroBlox in a level area. No need for any downward installation.

Hydroblox™ maintains permeability, requires little to zero post-installation maintenance, and can easily be part of any future site developments. Here are some additional benefits that you can expect:

  • Avoid run off water and debris getting into your site
  • Ward off ground water seepage
  • Provide a new watering hole location for neighborhood pests to gather
  • Use during construction to divert water from the area
    • Dry ground is a requirement for setting an inground base
    • A dry work area speeds the building process
    • A wet construction area can slow down the installation and create a sloppy uneven finish
  • Lay as a foundation for your deck or patio to redirect dirty water to the place you want it to go

Bury Hydroblox™ in an area where you need to control water; the planks an be laid flat, placed on edge, or even stacked! There is no need for heavy equipment, geotextiles, drainage pipes, sand, or aggregate. Just establish the proper slope, install, the Hydroblox™, and backfill- they will not crush or settle!

Hydroblox™ only absorb water; not dirt or silt. As water is introduced to the planks filling microscopic cracks and crevasses throughout the product, the planks get saturated. This is where the water pressure and the “laziness” of water take over- the water would rather flow downward and utilize the easier path through Hydroblox™ than “fight” its way back to its origin.

Once the plank is saturated, the water flows from plank to plank to its final destination.
